With over 40 years of experience in the construction and architectural industry Larry W. Walther formed Matrix Contractors in 2008 with his wife Carol and has since completed numerous jobs for such clients as Pappas Restaurants, Inc. and the HMSHost Corporation.
Larry's passion, pride, and intense work ethic for building come from the skills his father taught him as a member of his framing crew during his high school and college years. Larry attended Texas A&M University and in 1975 graduated with a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree. Upon graduating Larry spent the next four years as project manager for Russell King Architects. Due to his extensive construction background Larry became involved with the design and build industry as Vice President of Parcon Construction and Director of Construction with McFaddin Ventures. He went on to build restaurants and clubs throughout the United States including California, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, and Texas. His reputation for success then earned him the position of Director of Development for Entertainment One. Since 1984 Larry has held the position of Vice President for GCA Development and later moved on to become VP for E.T. Diamond Contractors before forming Matrix in June of 2008.
Matrix has directed development and construction for many of the retail and food and beverage facilities in all terminals of Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport, as well as Houston's Hobby Airport. Matrix has also worked extensively on many projects in the Houston, Austin, and Dallas-Fort Worth areas.
Matrix's diversity within the architectural and construction industry offers experience in all aspects of construction management, from owner representative to field supervision.
Larry has been married to his wife Carol for 32 years and has two children, Jennifer and Ryan. Larry and his family belong to the Living Word Lutheran Church located in Katy, Texas. |
